McIntosh MS750 (MS-750) Server/CD player/Burner- MINT Picture(s) and Description:

We’re Stereo Exchange, located in New York City. We've been in business since the 1970s and are a major high-end dealer. We have all the current top brands including McIntosh on display in our huge showroom. For Sale: One FACTORY SEALED McIntosh MS750 Music Server / CD Player / CD Burner, Serial # XU1370. Since the unit is sealed, I could not (obviously) take a picture, but I had a nice photo of an MS300, the previous version, so I included that. They look almost the same. If you want to see EXACTLY what an MS750 looks like, just go to the McIntosh website. First off, this is a GREAT CD player, worthy of putting into any McIntosh system. It has digital outputs, so you can always add, as many do, the MDA1000 McIntosh D/A converter to make it absolutely state-of-the-art in sound. McIntosh has produced CD changers in the past, namely the MCD7008 (seven disc) and the MCD205. These models proved to the world that multi-disc changing and great sound need not be mutually exclusive. This is the next logical step. Think of this as a 1000-disc CD changer. It works differently, though. You put a disc in it the first time, and it “captures the music” onto a hard-drive. It captures 100% of the disc information, unlike other music servers, which usually downgrade the sound to MP3 quality. Once transferred, the disc is ejected. You can sell the disc to a used CD store, because you won’t need it again. The MS750 goes over the internet to GRACENOTE and downloads the name AND COVER ART of the CD, and the names of the songs, and even figures out what category to store the music in (country, rock, classical, etc). You can create playlists for, say, parties, dinner Music, “John’s favorites”, etc. This player can hold over 1000 CDs of music at 100% quality. You COULD tell the machine to use slightly lower quality (MP3 quality) for music that you don’t care as much about. That’s only if you need every inch of space it has. As an example, I might record 75% of your music LOSSLESSLY, and use MP3 for music that I listen to less critically, such as Christmas music. But I’m Jewish, so that figures! Seriously, though, 1000+ discs is a LOT of music. When you insert a disc for capturing, you have the choice of recording the entire disc or just the songs you like, as I do. That can increase disc capacity bigtime! The player has ANALOG and DIGITAL inputs, for recording from other digital sources AND from your preamp/amp. Now you can finally record all those LP records you have. Remember when you bought that R---x or Nak-----i or T------g cassette deck and said you would take all your records and record them onto tape? You started to, but the recording was only 90% as good as the LP, so you stopped. Not with the MS750! It records with a signal-to-noise ratio over 90dB…that’s 25dB better than any cassette…and every 3dB means that you can play your system at twice the power before you hear noise! In other words, NO NOISE. Frequency response? Forget it! RULER FLAT across the entire hearing spectrum. Distortion? In the .005% range. If you are going away on a trip, just pick the songs you want to record, form a playlist, and insert a black CD. In a short time you have CD to play in the car! The MS750 comes with a great owner’s manual a hand-held remote. There are MANY ins and outs, both digital and analog for flexibility, including Power Control and DATA so your McIntosh system remote or keypad can provide basic operation. Some things to know… You will need some video monitor to operate the unit. Without a screen to see the menus and cover art, operation will be almost impossible. You could either hook it up to your TV or just get a small, cheap portable TV (or under-counter kitchen TV) with inputs and you’re all set. There are composite, S-Video, and component video outputs for compatibility. You will also need a connection to the web. There is an RJ45 Ethernet jack. You either hard-wire the unit into your router, or buy a wireless adapter to get the full functionality out of your new toy. These are readily available and not expensive. Without being connected to the web, much of the magic is lost. WARRANTY: In order to protect consumers from dealers who are not authorized and might sell you a used or demo unit and say it was new, McIntosh has a rule… If it’s sold on the Web, it is considered USED, with NO WARRANTY. Period. For that reason, we are selling this factory-sealed unit as USED, but used ZERO HOURS, with no warranty. That’s McIntosh’s rule, and we respect their policies. It is ready to serve its new owner well. Please give it a good home. Things to know… This item is considered USED with no warranty, refunds, or exchanges. We accept PAYPAL and all major credit cards. We ship to the US and Canada ONLY. We do NOT ship overseas. We ship by UPS. Feel free to use the shipping calculator. Insurance is INCLUDED in the shipping cost. Sales tax will be charged if the unit is shipped to / sold to within New York State. The above words are the property of KZ Consulting and are NOT to be copied.
